The
2009 HCC Autumn Winds Tournament was another great success, with fifty
players from all over the region. Many players had come to HCC
for the first time. The
weather was bright and cool, with light winds. This was our first
doubles tournament, and the first tournament to have players score
significantly below par. The field was tight for the entire two
rounds. The Am2 (Intermediate) division needed a tie-breaker for
second place. The pros set a new course record, with the winning team of Doug DeSalvo and Tim Jiardini finishing at sixteen under par! Karl Molotoris wasn't present to defend his reigning championship in the Advanced division. But Titan Bariloni and Derek Brazauskas smashed his previous record, finishing at eleven under par. Now let's see if those records can hold up in a singles tournament! |
